Ok here is the deal after reading muliple threads i could not find the answer to this question. Will a 2007 two door freedom top fit a 2009 two door??? I have called two dealerships and recieved two different answers. I have also been told that the 07 will fit the 09 but you could not put a 09 top on a 07?? So any help here would be nice. I need to let the guy know that I am trying to buy the top from tomorrow whether or not I will take it.

Yes it will fit, the difference is where the little L shaped hold downs are placed, not how it mounts to the vehicle. The dealer that told you know was probably trying to get you to buy a new one from them. Now as for the 2011 tops fitting older models I do not know, there are quite a few changes on them.

Not quite what you asked, but should be a clue - I put a 2007 soft top on my 2010 with no issues.
