Default Need help picking out tires for a mail JK

Well I talked my mother in law into buying a right hand drive Silver 4dr X. She has the stock SRA's and about 13000 miles and they are wore out already. She has had one plugged and another now has a hole in the sidewall. I am going to try to talk her into buying different tires and was wondering what people think of the following

1. BFG A/T KO 245/70R16 $178.00 per tire
2. Hancook DynaPro ATM RF10 245/70R16 $118.00 per tire
3. Stock SRA 225/75R16 $146.00 per tire

IMO, she needs something with a decent side lug and a firm tread compound. There will be no plans on lifting this JK so I want to stay around the stock tire size or maybe a few sizes up to add to appearence. She is a rural carrier and has some dirt roads that are pretty washed up and is constantly driving over road debris on the shoulder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest the BFG A/T KO. Ran them for 10 years and 208,000 miles on a Nissan King Cab 4x4 PU all over a number of West Texas ranches and through a number of SE Texas flooding rains. Loved them. Best as I can remember I went through 4 sets.

I've always had BFG A/T's on my Jeeps and didin't have problems except I'm usually not the one buying them, they were already on there. They come with a pretty large price tag for what you get. I love the tires and the wear though and they are good on almost all climates. Just not sure if someone else is running an A/T that is more cost efficient and has the same tread wear and street manners. Thanks for the input so far!

And a Mail JK would be right hand drive, stripped down, very few options, JK.

But if have a chance to inherit a bunch of money, get the most expensive tires you can find.

I would look and pick up a set of used rubi tries. Great tires and usually can get a good deal on someone who went bigger.

My wife uses the jk for Rural mail delivery too. The sra'. Disappeared pretty damn quick. Having had bfg ta ko's before we put a set on the jeep. Big improvement in road handling. Didn't notice too big a drop in mpg's and looks way better IMO
we went up a couple sizes to a 265/75 16 at the same time. Because I had plans for a little lift. But even at stock height we had no rubbing issues
the first year we ran those all seasons but noticed she needed 4wd in deeper snow which was ok but gave me an excuse to get some " bigger winter tires". Lol
so this last winter I got some MTR/ kevlars. Don't get me wrong the bfg's are great all round tire (still use them on my truck). But those MTR's. Are awesome
anyway back to your question I'd go for the bfg's for a good all round tire and as I said I ran 265/75 16 on stock with no issues

Appreciate the help, also I installed some orange led lights that I got from the company that outfits our Police cars. If you ever thought about installing them, let me know. I a great place for the led lights to go and they look nice too!
