Default Need help with the soft top again

so when i put my soft top down it doesnt look like it sit right?


i kno the strap is suppost to be tucked in but it still looks like it sits up?
and do u unvelcro the center bar that goes across? (one that velcros to the roof)
also i just found my velcro straps but have no idea where they are suppost to go? are you suppost to take this out.



and put it in like this.



also with the velcro straps came this strap (one on the top)



what does it do? pictures would be great.

any help would be great thanks!

You shouldn't need any straps for the top. The Strechy strap with snaps on it is to hold the back window up when it's rolled inside. (don't do that as it will scratch the crap out of it like i did). The other straps are for when the sun ridder is half is up, to keep it from flapping up.

The velcro straps that come with it are for use in the "sunrider" position (partially open, like a t-top).

On the 07, I used them when the top was completely down, just like they state in the Jeep video.

But on my 09, there is some metal piece in the slots, for the hard-top (where the bolts screw in). So the velcro straps won't slide into those slots. So what are people doing to secure their tops?

I have an 09 and I work them in to those slots. A bit of a pain but it can be done. I just leave the straps there even when the tops up.
