Default Need suggestions/help for strange things happening all at once

Hey guys! I have a 2011 JKU (automatic) with 78,500 miles on it that I've owned for about 5 years. She's been great with no issues to speak of this entire time. That is until recently. I've noticed an oil leak from right under the main pan. I took it in for an oil change to the dealership and asked them to check out the leak for me and they told me I had a leak at the intake as well as the lower pan gasket. I had them fix the intake seal but opted out of the lower pan gasket. I kept an eye on it and made sure the leaks were minor. About a month ago I decided to install a Pioneer AVH-4200 head unit and Maestro RR computer. The following week I decided to go ahead with the lower pan gasket replacement. I had a neighbor who runs a dealership service dept take care of it. Only to find out that my lower pan gasket as well as the rear main seal needed to be replaced. So I had him have his guys replace the two seals and do a brake job on both front a rear axles. The day before he picked up the Jeep to take it to his service center I noticed that I slipped a gear on my way home from getting gas. I didn't think much of it because it's never happened before and it didn't trip any noticeable CEL or anything. However, he noticed the same on his drive to the service center the next morning and got a CEL that said it had the following codes: C1014 (stored), C101F (stored), P1776 (stored), C0077 (active), U0814 (active), B16FD (stored). The P1776 came up as active later which seems to be a Transmission issue. I also noticed a very bad "shimmy" between 40-45 MPH (been going on for about 3 months). He didn't know but went ahead and rebalanced wheels/tires, but it didn't fix. After repairs were done, no more leaks and I was happy. Then things got really sh*tty. I noticed while driving around that I was in "limp" mode, basically always in 3rd gear. I have a good friend that owns a reputable transmission shop here and I took it to him. He called to tell me my Torque Coverter was destroyed and my Valve Body and solenoid pack needed to be replaced and the tranny rebuilt. I gave him the green light and got it back a week later. As soon as I left the parking lot I got a CEL, P0325 (knock sensor #1). I haven't heard any knocking but have a pretty consistent ping at under 2k rpm. After the tranny rebuild, the shimmy is completely gone which is great. And now that the tranny is fixed and shifting great I feel like I have NO power off the line. I've had this Jeep for 5 years, I know it's not a race car but it seems like it just doesn't have the power in low gears. Is this caused by a faulty knock sensor? I don't know. But WTF is going on? My question is this: with everything being so dependent on computer and electrical is it even remotely possible that installing a new headunit and Maestro RR to my Jeep and battery started causing my jeep to do some strange things, engine wise? Oil leaks - not included. Sounds ridiculous I know. But ALLLLLL of this started after the radio install and seals getting replaced. My engine ping actually sounds more like a rattle underneath the jeep by the exaust pipe. I've read many forums on here about checking the Flex Plate and some of the heat shields. I've checked Flex Plate and will check heat shields tomorrow. Why on earth would I get the P0325 after a transmission rebuild? Could the sensor be bad or could they have accidentally hit the wire harness? I'm also going to check spark plugs tomorrow. I hear no knocking but the knock sensor code will not go away and I don't want to ruin anything. I'm open to any suggestions. If my extremely long post wasn't descriptive enough please ask questions. You guys are all very wise here and I respect all of your advice. Thanks!!

Hi Jason, there is so much going on that help via the internet is going to be very general.

Why on earth would I get the P0325 after a transmission rebuild?
I'd suspect that the wiring was damaged during the transmission install, which is in the path of the bell housing (on top where it bolts to the engine). It could also be that they didn't get the sensor's connector on correctly, or it broke.

The odds are good that some of the problems in that list were caused by poor workmanship, and some are just coincidence.

A very old saying from my father and grandfather was that about half of all problems are caused by previous work. The corollary is: If it works, don't fix it. Nothing has changed, and it applies to every machine.

It sounds like you're probably going to have to find a very good mechanic/tech to get some better odds of success. Tell them the the whole story. Best of luck, and stay in touch -- Interested in how this turns out.

Rear seal replacement requires the tranny to be removed and replaced, sounds like someone may have fucked up putting it back on? Mny sensors removed and replaced as well. I wonder if the wire harness above the bellhousing got pinched when it was replaced cutting some wires. I cant see replacing the radio doing anything.
