Here are a couple pictures of where i have some keys hidden so i am never stranded. first is under the hood. Blank key in a hide a key pouch so i am not locked out with the hard top on. 2nd is a programmed rock key just in case i were to ever lose my keys away from home. This is on top of the radio under my daystar dashtop organizer.

I thought I read somewhere that if you get an aftermarket remote start the only way it will work is to hide a transponder key in the Jeep somewhere so it fools the system. If this is true your Jeep will be able to be hot wired with that transponder key in there and it will run longer than just a minute or two.

not bad, i wouldn't mind hiding a functioning key inside mine somewhere. dont have to be worried about lockouts with the soft top

I have an aftermarket remote starter. you do not need to hide a key to make it work. The remote start bypasses the sentry system.

Just remember that if your jeep gets broken into, the radio will be the first thing to go. That means they will find your active key while ripping apart the dash...

I would hide is someplace else, behind the glove box, zip tied under the seat, in the roll bar pad etc.

Thanks for the reminder. I really need to hide a key before fate strikes again
