New Brakes needed already?
i think that 19,000 is slightly premature for replacement.....if you esp has been going off alot.....possibly....i wheel mine and esp has kicked in alot.....i started running 35s for the first year, and have been running 37s for the last year plus....running big tires should wear alot due to rotational force...bla bla bla....and i have 35,000 and on my last inspection when i rotated my tires i have alot of pad left......i would go down and physically look for my self to see........you can buy the ceramics at autozone for around $65 for the front.....and ceramics for the rear for 55....and have the rotors turned for around 10-16 bucks dep were ya go....grand total 150-174 dollars.....at that is for the expensive pad....dont let them talk you into something over the phone.....hopefully they didn't already take it apart...

Cleaned with Lysol last night still smells this morning.

There has been a couple other threads discussing this, so it seems to be a somewhat common issue (early rear brake wear). Mine are still ok at about 20K, but my rear pads are noticeably lower than the fronts.
I think the issue is the ESP, it uses the brakes to control wheel spin and force power to the other wheel. Given that it does use the brakes, the more traction control has to help, the more wear on your brakes. I pay attention and even on snow and ice I do what I can to make your the ESP light doesn't come on. Even through it in 4x4 last night so I had enough traction to not need it.
I am only at about 7k on mine so no idea when it will need brakes. But if you think about it, things make sense. Not that I like it our think we should, but that is how it was designed.

Mine are squeeking at 15,000 miles but not all the time. I keep meaning to take it back to the dealer but just haven't yet. They will be replacing my pads for free if that is what is needed because brake life like that is just pathetic on a new vehicle. My TJs lasted 50,000 miles even with 33s.

That is why I brought it to the daeler in the first place.
If enough people are having this issue maybe DC will actually do something about it.
