Default New car purchase, how long did you wait?

I purchased a 2011 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and I am wondering how long everyone waited before a VIN was assigned and then built. I thank you for all your help.

The dealer told me that he called and that there is a problem with the color code, then they can assign a VIN. What can be wrong with the color code? Just went Natural Pear Green, can't be that hard can it?

I'm guessing as as you're located in Germany it will take a bit longer than the 4-5 weeks US customers are reporting. My JK arrived at the dealership around 3 months after it was built and I am in Australia.

I ordered my 11 Rubi around Dec 16. I was told 6-8 weeks. I followed up with Jeep by using 1800 number. It stayed in D1 status for a while. However, the ship date given by the 1800 jeep representative was spot on. It shipped on Jan 13 from factory.
Good LUCK ! That waiting is miserable... I know.

Thank you for all your help. I am just waiting day by day to get behind the wheel. Last I checked with the 1-800 number they had no record of it, but that is just the SO number as I have no VIN yet. Thanks again.

Ordered mine on Oct 1st. VIN took 1 week and the Rubi was delivered and ready bring home in 29 days (almost to the hour) from the time I ordered it. My dealer told me my order was "unusually speedy"
