Default New Clutch or Slave/master cylinder???

Yesterday, I took the Jeep to the dealer because it was getting difficult to change gears. It feels like I have not hydraulic pressure to engage the clutch resulting in no first or reverse but if I start the Jeep in second I can get the Jeep moving. Once moving I can usually change gears but it feels weak in pressure.

I had this happen in my cherokee and it was a slave cylinder but the dealer is saying that I need a new clutch. I was wondering what you all think and would do?

Since the slave cyl is external, I'd check it first I think I read fluid comes from master cyl. If that's not broke/low than maybe time for clutch upgrade!

Get this for good measure.
I had a '97 Wrangler and I had a minor (could barely see the moisture on the line) leak that took months for the slave cylinder to put me low enough on fluid. Once I got that fixed it was all good. On the flip side I had already damaged my clutch pretty badly too. Soooo I would say UPGRADE!!!!! Get new clutch and then if you still have issues get the line pressure tested.

I really liked this clutch it went in nice and easy and I could feel a difference with smoothness and shifting ease.

I received a couple of opinions from a few friends and they think it might just be the slave but they have not seen or driven the Jeep at this point (they will get a chance this weekend). Wouldn't the smart thing to do besides changing out the clutch, since it is a lot of work, would be to replace the slave? I have replaced a slave and master on a cherokee and looked at the slave on the JK and it looks like an easy repair.
