New JKU
I currently have a 2012 JKU w 12,000 miles on it. The sales guy I worked with many times in the past contacted me and made me an offer I don't think I can pass up on a 2013 JKU. Same model but with a few extra goodies and a upgrade from the 3.21 gears to the 3.73's. (not worried about the mpg's). It's pretty much a straight up trade with the payments left and amount owed. I believe I'm going for it. Thoughts? Anything negative about the '13's yet? Thanks all!

I've made 8 payments so it will extend an extra 8 payments. So pretty much starting over. This time I qualified for the 1.9% which helped the payments out. Score.
Sounds like the sales guy is using a pretty standard tactic. "Keep your payments the same". But no concern for the actual cost of the vehicle or equity you have in yours.
If you do the math it is probably costing you 5k for 3.73 gears and side steps or whatever.
Fyi. If you qualify for a lower interest rate now, you will also qualify to refinance your current jeep at your local bank or credit union and lower your current payments.

x2, if that what makes you happy
I say go for it. At least with the 3.73 upgrade you can run 33s - 35s with ease. Regearing is one less thing to Add. In addition, depending on what option you chose you get the Alpine sound system, new wheel design, interior glow lighting, new body colors and redesigned seats....

When looking at trading, you never look at "what is the payment".....look at what's the total cost....what are they giving you for yours and what's the bottom dollar, out the door, for the new one...
At some point you've got to stop making payments....otherwise you'll be the debtor forever.
