New JKU keeping it stock
You guys are lucky, on this side of the pond we only get 3.21 std (no towing package or any extravaganza of the sort) or 4.10 in the Rubi.......
But we get a low torque monster in the 2.8 l turbo diesel engine...so I guess that fills in.
It gives the ability to fit 285x70r17 's on stock gears (3.21) and still get a good "get go" at between 1800 and 2500 rpm...

Hey, is your 2008 JKu rescue green an auto or 6 speed?
I have owend my 2008 rescue green Sahara JKu since early 2008 and have yet to see another one in a manual transmission.
Can you post pictures of your jeep?
Op, sorry to hijack... Again
Good call on ordering the 3:73s. Even if you never lift or change tires, the JK is very heavy and seats five. Load that thing up with people and you will definitely notice a difference. That fact that you are going to plow with it makes 3:73 a better choice too.
