Funny you mention that it's no drip! I had my 1st oil change done by the dealership, when I picked it up, there was a trail of oil from under the hood across the front bumper! Slobs!

Thank Merc for the new location. That was their doing when working on the Pentastar engine. All Merc's have the filter topside and real easy access!

Default Another perk.

Another perk to this design is that you are only replacing the filter itself. No more worries about faulty anti-drain back valves from crappy filter manufacturers. Just a filter. That's it. Very cool!

I use cheap sandwich bags to pull it out with and just as it comes out of the housing I just rap the baggie around the filter and into the trash it goes. 0 drippy drip.
