New PCM Flash program available (1/17/07)....>
For those not following the other thread on this:
Just back from my flash so apparently the update is up and running. FYI, my old PCM flash part number was 5094097AH (Late October build). The new flash number ends in a "J" which would seem to indicate there is a New flash since the TSB 18-036-06 for the Pre- Nov 6th build dates
I have to say, the shift points are much improved which was my main gripe. Part throttle downshifts are now pretty effortless where before it would labor in OD or the higher gear. Holds gear a little longer too when under moderate acceleration. Feels perkier for sure. The engine now feels like its working more in concert with the trans which should result in a bit better mileage i would guess.. All in all, I'm pleased!
My dealer was very accomodating and I got to watch the flash process. The Tech complained a bit about the Chrysler/Jeep Scan tool system, but after a few re-boots we finally got the program downloaded. I did have a copy of the TSB which the tech referred to a few times so it might be helpful to have on in hand when getting the update done..

http://www.alldata.com/tsb/Chrysler/ Add this to your Fav, this is where you will be able to find anything new every time they update it. This cover all Chrysler so you will need to read through them. If you know the name of th TSB you can go stright to it. I wish they would make this link Sticky!

Is the OP sure that the shifting issues weren't fixed with the previous TSB? Or did you get them both at the same time?
I assume I could go ahead and have them flash me anyways, but my radio has never cut out and my shifting pattern was vastly improved by the Novemeber TSB.
Got mine flashed today as well. This was the first time I had it flashed.
Had both TSB's performed (PCM flash for trottle and radio issue).
Dealer did it - no questions asked. Even got a sticker indicating the fash was performed.
I'll check the number to see if it ends with J as well. Didn't notice it before but will check and see.
It does feel somewhat perkier but I've not been able to really test it out.
