Default New Top

So my 08 Rubi Unlimited did not come with dual top, just hard top. I still, however, want the soft top for the summer...evn though the hard top has grown on me! I found one tonight on Craigslist for $250, but does not include the door surrounds. Does anyone have an opinion on this and/or things to look for to know if I am buying a good top? Thanks for the tips!

You will probably end up spending that much to get the door surrounds from jeep

If you look around enough you can get a new, complete soft top never used for around $500. I did. Adding the door surrounds is not cheap and the top is pretty useless without them.

I think it would be worth your time to keep looking.

Also, having both tops is great!

I hear...just did some looking on ebay and found a set of door surrounds for $185 + $30 shipping....would bring grand total to $465..but it is local! Will probably keep looking though!

i paid $400 for my complete soft top and it was nearly brand new
so i think that anything in that price range is much better than what the dealership will charge you

Agreed! I'm ready for summer already. One suggestion...it would be nice to buy one already put together, my bestop came in about 1000 similar looking pieces with terrible directions.
