New toyo tires not fitting well
Hi guys so I bought 4 new toyo tires 35 12.50 18 I noticed that I can't really make. Sharp turns with out the tires hitting .now my 2012 jeep wrangler unlimited has a 2.5inch teraflex budget boost I had bf Goodrich km2 they fit fine and they rubbed on my jeep but not as

bad as the toyo tires I also noticed that there's not enough space in the back tires between the sway bars the new tires are rubbing a lot and it's slowly peeling the thread on my new tires that I paid a s****it load i was thinking about getting some wheel spacers but I heard spacers can damage the tires in the long run any advice would really help I attached the picture of the back right sway bar so u can see where it runs but it's just my back tire that's rubbing and slowly peeling

There are plenty of "Are spacers safe" threads on this site to read through, a quick search should find a bunch of them.
so im a bit confused shouldn't i have cleared the 35's tires with my 2.5 lift i dont understand how my bf Goodrich km2 mt fit well but these toyo tires are rubbing now when you guys say get new wheels what should i get i have stock 18 inch wheels on right now what would be the difference if i get another 18 inch wheel ? sorry newbie here !.
Tires from one mfg may be taller/shorter/wider/narrower than the same 'stated' size from another mfg. KM2's are known to run small for their size, while your new tires must be closer to the stated size. If you still have access to the old tires, grab a tape measure and check it out for yourself.
And it isn't just the lift height, it is also clearance with the frame, suspension and steering components, bumpers, pinch seam, whatever else. As the tire gets taller and wider, it should make sense that you need to move it out so it doesn't rub, right? The stock rims have a backspacing of around 6.25". As that number goes down, the rim/tire moves further out of the wheel well and away from the frame/components. If you open either of the threads stuck right to the top of this modified area, you will find some backspace suggestions for various tire sizes. Or, if you look at just about any lift on the market, you should also find the same backspace recommendations.

You went to a taller/wider tire, you kept the stock 6.25" backspace rims, and they are rubbing. No big surprise here. If you want to keep those tires, then you need to move them further out. That will take either a set of wheel spacers, or new rims with less backspace.
