Default No acceleration

I have a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited. Today when I went to accelerate there was almost no power. I was able to eventually get up to 45 MPH and get to the dealer. The tech hooked in his computer and it showed everything is in perfect working order. Since it's Saturday there is no "tech help" available so the tech has called another dealer to see if they have run into this problem before. Looks like I wont get my Jeep back until Monday or Tuesday. Has this happened with anyone else?:

X2. I had this happen on a 1992 Suburban. Felt like the tranny was broken but it was a plugged cat converter.

Not cheap. There's platinum in that thing.

Mine did that once, but I just shut her down took the key out and hit the lock button on the fob, let it sit for 5 minutes....Then unlocked and started it up and lightning mcqueen was back lol.

I think when it happened to me it was like a limp mode thing, my jeep was sitting over night in the cold 20degrees or less, and I left in such a rush that I didn't let her warm up at all..I drove off my street slowly turned sat at the traffic light and once the light turned green I floored it, as soon as the motor hit like 5500 RPM (wherever the highest RPM is on an auto right before the WOT 1-2 shift) power cut I got some engine light thing and i had no power couldnt get it to go over like 2500 rpm.

I dont know if the situation was similar for you....I kinda recognized it as a Limp mode which is a safety that is programed in to the car so that if it recognizes some type of mechanical failure that might do further damage to the engine it won't let you drive it hard. It just gives you enough to drive to a shop with your fourways on. My previous car was a BMW 335i coupe 2007 and I had the same thing happen with that car since it was two fast spooling turbos you couldn't redline it until it was a lil warm.

I'm glad such a fail safe exists....I know that I probably shouldn't beat on my cars so much especially when its less then 20 degrees out and I didnt warm it up and its not something I do often but sometimes your just in a rush and don't think clearly.

Anyway good luck with yours hope its under warranty

No this was different. I couldn't get speed and I couldn't get the RPM up. I even put it in neutral and gave it gas and the engine didn't rev or anything. I have no idea what it could be but when I get it back I will post what the problem was. Tahnks for your responses though.

Thats basically what I meant...its like the RPMs are stuck at like 2k or 2500 floor it and it does nothing. its almost like your in cruise control at 25mph in overdrive

Anyway good luck hopefully they take care of you. Lemme know what they say
