Noise in neutral
Before I take my jeep in for warranty work on the seat bracket. I think I may have a bad throw out bearing or possible transmission issue. When sitting still in neutral I can anhear a grinding noise or more a crunch sort of hard to describe when I put in the clutch though the noise will stop or temporarily stop. Also this noise when I put the clutch in and roll will happen. (Also I don't know if it is related but when running in second gear around 20 mph (areas I have to drive 30kph) sounds like drive train is grinding not sure how to describe it. In 4th as I come off the clutch into it you can sometimes hear something too. Thankfully it's under warrenty. But I'm scared that the German jeep dealer will turn it down because it's an American warrenty not German and they can do this!
Does the noise stop when the clutch is depressed? That would likely indicate that it's the throwout bearing. At least from my experience and a few friends. Have had it happen in subarus's and toyotas. Was usually the throwout bearing.
One more input when accelerating hard and then putting in clutch of course after letting off gas very violent wurring sound does not sound like any viehicle I have driven does not sound normal but I'm not sure what it is hopefully one of you know maybe this could be normal?
the clutch is in it makes noise , when its in idle and you hear noise its just roll over noise and its normal . ( if the noise goes away when you push down on clutch . that would be roll over noise ) mine has roll over noise for 5 years no issue
