Default Noise upon acceleration

I have a loud pinging noise upon acceleration. I have tried higher octane fuel and it does not seem to help.

Any suggestions?

I bet it is the metal covering on the EGR tubes toward the back of the motor. especially the one that runs down the back between the firewall and engine!
had a hell of a time trying to find the damn noise until I put hose clamps on these tubes and the pinging noise is now gone. I have had people and dealers say that those tubes won't make any noise but they were so wrong!

call me crazy but it solved my problem, I thought it was bad gas or wrong grade as well.

Same noise hear as well...pinging, no loose heat shields, tried higher octane fuel, different gas station and even trying Seafoam through the Vacuum line and a tank of fuel...but no luck. I am wondering if it would be a cracked manifold or even the spark plugs/wiring need to be changed out or even a faulty knock sensor??
