Probably that haven't washed out the dust under there in a while, can I just spray direct with power washer?

I get a clunking noise that I am sure is the door latch banging on the striker bar

That was my problem. Scared the shit out of me when it first started happening. Then my brother and I were checking things out and he noticed my shock's lower bushings were bad. Got a couple Bilsteins coming this week.

I had that with my old shocks. They never seemed to get tight enough and there was a squeak/clunk type sound now and then. The lower bolts, both front and rear, always seemed a little loose. Once I tightened them the noise quit... till the next time.

Sounds like something I would do!

I had the same issue and it was a loose upper shock mount. I had a clunk issue as well and it was a loose sway bar mount. When I hear a funny noise on a bump, I try to shack stuff or beat it with a rubber mallet, and it usually works.

So i'm having the same issue, squeaky shocks on the drivers side (I believe), can I just hit it with some WD40 and work the shock up and down?

Well, My new 2012 JKU Rubi with 800 miles now makes a noise when going over bumps...

Coming from the drivers front area.

Wondering if it could be the sway bar bushing or shock mounts.

Very familiar with Jeeps as I own a 99 TJ that's lifted and locked with lot's of stuff on it.

Haven't taken the new Rubi off pavement.

AHHHH Jeeps, gotta love em... squeak, rattle and leak as well as empty your bank account.

Will have the dealer take a look at it (don't laugh too hard) when the first oil change comes due unless the noise gets worse.

Also noticed that the coolant fill/recovery bottle is very loose inside the engine compartment.

Anyone else notice this?

Many thanks to you JK guy's and gal's as I've learned a lot about JK's lurking this forum....have a feeling that I will be learning a whole lot more in the years to come.

Default Had clcking sound every time I hit a bump..solved

Rubbibg-clicking sound at bumps--sloved when I removed steel side windshield plates, about six torque bolts--noticed obvious friction spots where paint-primer had been rubbing and rusty--put dabs of silicone grease on each spot-no more squeeking--70 k since and no more noise--

07 Rubi Unlimited, Jeep Green, 82k miles--CRWood

I've got a bone stock '11 4-door and after taking it off roading a few times, I tend to get a clicking noise in the front passenger side. After the first time, I searched for a while and found out it was the upper mount on the sway bar. Just tighten the bolt back up and you'll be good to go.
