Default Odometer readings

Ok. I know my jump to bigger tires has my speedometer off, but my question is this.
Will my odometer also be off now?

Yes, your odometer will be off also.
With bigger tires, it will read fewer miles than the Jeep has actually traveled.

Hope you are right! Guess I will be ordering a programmer then.

Well, the computer calculates speed and distance by counting wheel rotations, based on what it has been told is the tire diameter.

Correct, it will be off. The computer takes the reading, so the speedometer, trip meter, odometer, and DTE (Distance To Empty) will all be off at the same rate. This happened when I had my 35's and said I was doing 80MPH and was actually doing almost 90, and I went from reading about 200 miles a tank to 280ish.

That is opposite from what I would expect to see.

Yeah that's what a coworker was saying. He said you will actually have traveled further than what the odometer is showing!

I initially filled up my tank after 200 miles before the AEV Procal recalibration, afterward I was refilling around 280ish. I was still burning the same amount of fuel, but the computer's trip meter made it seem like I was going around 10% slower than I really was and thinking I was covering around 10% (freeway @ 70MPH) less distance.

Before AEV Procal: 200 miles/ 16 gallons = 12.5MPG

After AEV Procal: 280 miles (corrected by the Procal) / 16 gallons = 17.5MPG.

So, like basskisser said, the trip meter shows you traveling less than you really have. I really didn't know it was off until I was flying past people on the freeway while doing 70 in a 65, but then realized via GPS that I was actually going close to 80. So, after an hour at "70"MPH the trip would say 70 miles, but if I am really doing 80MPH then I actually went 80 miles, and the trip would be 10 miles below actual miles traveled.

Sorry if that was long winded! If I'm wrong somewhere please let me know.

The way you wrote the other post, it sounded like the indicated miles per tank went up with the bigger tires.
Now, it seems it went up after you re-programmed, which is what it should have done.
