Default OEM Battery

I'm wondering how much can the OEM battery can handle. I want to hook up to two more fog lights to it. I'm running with two PIA's right now and want to run two more. I just don't want to shoot my battery to shit or something like that.

Ditch the stock, mine also was two years old and I have two 55Watt lights and two 100Watt lights. My OEM went out in Oct 2009. I went with a Napa battery cost $125 and has 800 cold cranking amps. I'm sure with all I was running didn't help the OEM battery. Besides most things like batteries, brake pads, shocks, wiper blades, etc. from a new jeep are junk anyway and upgrading is always better.

Your battery has nothing to do with how much stuff you can power unless you are planning to use it with the Jeep shut off. You want to know how much your alternator can handle.

Mine just died. I replaced it with a Diehard Platinum for $189 and it came with a 48 month warranty. A little overkill for my stock setup, but I have aspirations of needing it later. (lights, winch, etc)

My next choice was an Optima Yellow or Blue. I read a lot of mixed reviews on other sites about about the Optima series, but it seems like most on this site love them.

Mine just kicked the bucket too.

Went w/ a Duralast Gold for $92.
1000 amps (800 cca) 3yr free replacement and 8 year pro-rated warranty.

My OEM lasted a little over a year and a half. Get rid of that POS and get something good, actually, just about any aftermarket is better.
