Default OEM sterring stabilizer

For the second time I developed a severe front end wobble.
Many suggestions/solutions were proposed but it ended up being
a blown steering stabilizer. This was after spending about 1.5 hrs
with Clayton of Clayton Offroad, trying different things.
He went out of his way to find a solution

He called local Jeep dealership and they said that Chrysler is not replacing
the OEM ss with OEMs, they are actually using Ranchos. Defintely a stiffer
feeling in the steering wheel and no more bump induced wobbles.
I decided not to even ask about warranty. I got the Rancho at dealercost
and my JK is modded. Small price to not have any dealership/warranty issues.

I've been running 285/75 16s for quite awhile now, w/ the stock SS. I've never had a problem and run on some pretty bad roads. I'm just surprised that the SS was the only problem you had.

Good to know there is an aftermarket option that is working. I crushed my ss the second week of having it. I keep thinking about replacing it, but I figure why until I can afford to relocate it. I have been fortunate not to have any significant vibrations (other than the one in the steering shaft the dealer fixed).

I just did not like the way my steering stabilizer hung down making it vulnerable to offroad obstacles so I purchased a Woods relocation bracket and that moved it up and out of the way so it is now safe.

My steering stabilizer fell victim to...well...er...me. I was jacking up the Jeep to get a tire rotation in, thought I had my jack lined up with the axle, ended up with a whole lot of hydraulic fluid from the ss on my garage floor!

Default ss

skyjacker also makes a direct replacement, bigger in size and fits fine. #7003. Morris 4x4 center has them for 43.00

Is replacing one really worth it if every works correctly?

I put the Rubi wheels and tires on my X and was just curious...

OME (Old Man Emu), makes a SS. They are super heavy duty. If you don't want to relocate the SS but want to replace it I suggest the OME SS. It is more expensive but it is heavy duty.

Where can you get that one? Also does anyone know if the rancho is direct replacement?
