Default OEM Tire Replacement??

Thinking about getting new tires as mine are getting worn and I have been reading many threads and posts about them and basically seems the best ones are Duratracs, KM2s, MTRs, and Cooper STTs. Ok, so this might sound crazy but I actually never had a problem with the stock wrangler SRAs and liked them, yes i know crazy. I'm looking for a decent tire that is pretty much equal to those but wanted to bump the size and maybe slightly more aggressive for the snow and wet roads. I will admit that this is pretty much a mall crawler being I drive 99% of the time on pavement and mostly highway so you can see where the OEM ones would work well but......they don't come in 33s, which i would like for the better stance and better look. Like I mentioned I have heard good things about a lot of tires but mostly how they are in mud and rock, not much about highway and road behavior

Any suggestions?

Goodyear Silent Armor would be the next step up in size and still act stock on road off road are very good for what the tread looks like.
285/70/17 next step in size. The Silent Armors 255/75/17 is an OEM tire for exported rubicons so traction is great all around.

Well, with your highway driving and you mentioned driving in winter conditions. Also, wanting a more aggressive looking tire, I would seriously consider the G/Y Duratracs as they are a snow rated tire and look aggressive as well and are very capable off-road.

The other M/T tires you listed BFG KM2's, G/Y MTR's and Cooper STT will be horrible on icy road conditions like any other hard compound M/T.

I just put the Silent Armors on my Sahara Unlimited and love them. They plow right through the snow. They remind me of BFG AT's.

I also wanted to upgrade from the stock SR-As to get better snow traction. I debated between the Silent Armor and Duratrac, but ended up going with the Duratrac. We have a lot of that slushy snow that fills up the tire (like mud) and turns it into a slick. The mud terrain style outer lugs on the Duratrac help out a LOT when this happens.

I just put a set of Silent Armors on a few months ago... And, yes, i would recomend them. They handle very well in the snow, rain, and fairly good in mud...
