just finished reading the 10000 mile oil change and was wondering what mileage the oil change warning comes on on your dash. i have a wrangler and a patriot and the oil change light comes on at 4000 kms or 2500 miles the book tells a different story. what does your dash say.

 

It doesn't come on at a given mileage. The computer figures it out using engine run-time, mileage, and other factors.

 

than why is it that i can drive from home to florida and the warning comes on at 4000 give or take a few km aand if just drive localy i get the same thing. i don't beleive that the computer has a whole lot to do with it.
