Oil pressure reads 99 pounds ,tec said sensor needs to be replaced, must order part. Said they need to pull manifold to replace! Is that true. Preferred not to have that done. Under warranty but still sounds kinda out of line?

 

If it's first gen 3.6 , yes the oil filter, oil cooler, assembly must be replaced if the valve is faulty or broken.

 

If it is the oil pressure sensor/switch, then yes, on the 3.6 both the upper and lower intake manifolds must be removed to access the sensor, it is mounted in the bottom of the lifter valley (I don't know what else to call that even if it is an OHC engine).

When mine went out it gave a check engine code. Did yours?
