Have a question, may seem stupid, but here goes. Is there something different about the 2012 bodywise that keeps previous year Rubi rails from fitting. Went to pick up rails from forum member here in Sacto and i could not get the brackets to line up. If I am wrong here correct me please...the rails mount at the body mounts and on the lip of the body work, right? Could not get the body mounts to line up correctly no matter which way I turned them or what side I tried to line them up. Granted I am not an auto mechanic but I am pretty proficient at most of it. Did I screw up or someone have some info for me?
I put some from a 2008 on my 2012 no issues, my recommendation is to put all bolts in loosely at first just enough to hold the rail up in place and then alternate tightening them all down til they are all tight.

So am I right about how they attach? If they attach to the body mounts, then bolt in to the holes in the body skirt, I could not get them to line up at the body mounts.

It should fit I have never heard of them not.

They don't attach to the body mounts. There are holes under the body that are covered with black tape. Remove the tape, insert the clips flat side down. Bolt them up. Not only with the older JKU rails fit the new bodies, the JKU rails will fit on the two door if you trim them. Mounting points are identical.
