Do you think that is a good price for the Rubi? It's loaded up with Navi also, great condition.

It's for sure up there. And by far the final decision is yours.

All we are saying is it seems really high priced when for a few thousand more if that you could buy a new. 2012 fully decked out sport or in the. 34 to. 35 range a nicely equipped 2012 rubi.

There's nothing wrong with the 08 Rubi but I would think that's near $22,000 give or take a few thousand. Plus you can read about all the oil consumption issues with the 07 08's leaking hard and soft tops the over spilling fuel tank issues and so fourth.

Going from an 08 to a 2011 is a big difference

Going from an 2011 to a 2012 is a huge winter night and summer day difference.

If it was me and I was willing to spend that kind of money on a 3 to 4 year old vehicle knowing all the issues and quirks with the older jk's I'd pay the little extra and buy the 2012. Plus there's alot of awesome deals people including myself got and are getting.

that seems wicked expensive for a used car, if anything, take a look at the for sale section on the forums here. you'll see what 25-30k can really get you. I mean if it's just going to be a "for fun" vehicle, you might as well get one that's been well modded and cared for.

You make a lot of valid points! I was not aware of the issues that you stated. I have not looked at the 2012 very closely just due to the cost. Everything that I saw was stickering around 30k + and I have heard that there were not many deals with Wranglers? Those of you that have recently purchased..... what could I expect to get in the 28k out the door pricing? Maybe I should just look at a 2 door sport since it's just a 3rd vehicle? Gonna put new wheels, tires (33), and level kit on it right away no matter what I purchase.

If you do not have kids then going to a 2dr will change everything as far as price.

But if you have kids the extra money for a 4dr is worth every penny.

Fully loaded rubi matching hardtop $32,000

Less loaded 30 ish range

Fully loaded rubi JKU $35-37k

Also less loaded around 34 to 35$ K

Normal 2dr sport 24s package $24 to $25

23S $24,000

JKU Sport $25 to 27k

Nicely loaded sport like what I bought $30k OTD

Plus if you have good to perfect credit the rates you can get on new vs used is well worth it

I got 2.4% through US Bank for 72 months

I paid 26k out the door for a 2011 JKU. Rubis are nice for sure but the way I figure it's 3rd vehicle for fun and not a daily driver or your main vehicle. In the end it's your money.

Get the rubi. Less miles, and not a rental.

What options or packages on your sport? Also what was the original sticker price if you don't mind me asking?
