Default One more soft top question...

So I just purchased a soft top today and am so excited for it to start warming so I can install it . There is just one issue though - I just realized that there are no screws that attach the soft top assembly to the roll bar. Could I use some of the pre-existing screws that go with the hard top or do I need to buy replacement screws? I would test it out if I could but right now but I'm in college and do not have neither the space nor time to remove the hard top and test it... Need some fellow Jeeper's advice!

You'll need 2 long and 1 short per side in order to attach the door surrounds to the roll bar. So you'll need 4 long and 2 short screws in total, not to mention the bolts to attach the soft top brackets on to the rear of the roll bar "10mm 3/4inch"..
Good luck

What year is the JK, what year is the top? The bolts Augi posted attach door surrounds.

The top itself only bolts onto the roll bar (b pillar) via a bow mounting bracket with shoulder screws. If you need the shoulder screws, look up best top quick release bow knuckles.

I think the OP was referring to these screws that attach the bracket that holds the bow assembly onto the rollbars. You can get them from Qtec here:

MOPAR 6503259 - MOPAR® M6 x 1.25" Round Head Screw for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for. But seriously, six dollars for a screw? That's insane

Still probably cheaper than a dealer!

But good info there, M6x1.25 should be easy to find a the local hardware store.

When I bought my soft top I needed the same screws. I bought them at Lowes. They were in the hardware section where the have all of the drawers where you can buy screws and bolts in little packets. If I remember correctly one of the drawers is for automotive parts and they were in that one. I am sure one of the people working in that area should know what I am talking about.
