Exclamation P0456 code & warning.

I started my car this morning and the engine light was on. So I check for the code, it is P0456 which means"EVAP PURGE SYSTEM SMALL LEAK“. Something about emission control system.

Is that a big problem?

wonders, anybody have idea How to deal with it?

A loose gas cap can throw that code.

Perform a visual and physical inspection of the entire Evaporative Emission system.
Check for the following conditions:
- Holes or cracks
- Loose seal points
- Evidence of damaged components
- Incorrect routing of hoses and tubes
- Loose or missing Fuel Filler Cap
- Improper installation of the Fuel Fill Cap
- Damaged Locking tabs on Cap and/or fill tube
- Damaged seal points on Cap and/or fill tube
- Fuel cap gasket seal

Anything beyond the items listed, requires test equipment the dealer has.

My 08 threw that code for about 4 days, I didn't worry about it and then it just magically turned off.... Hasn't came back on yet.
