Default Which part?

Inspecting under my stock JKU Rubi after last weekend and I saw this damage, I'm not 100% saw of the anatomy under the hood, looking to learn.

It's from the passenger side next to the front axle.
Can you guys help me identify it and is it a simple replacement?

Thanks

Hope the picture is clear enough!

Looks like a steering stabilizer boot or cover. If you don't see any oil leaking out of it I would just cut that cover part off. Or if you want you can buy a replacment.

Get an aftermarket one with a relocation bracket. Maybe a 30 to 60 min job to swap. Then you shouldn't have to worry about hitting anything on it

Any recommendations on aftermarket options? All looks well right now with just the boot. Damaged, but always like the opportunity to upgrade!

If you want functional then all you need is to replace with another stock stabilizer. If you want to spend some extra money to have something look better, like the Fox 2.0, go for it. That's what I'm doing. However I've been running without anything for 5k miles now. No issues.

I went with a skyjacker dual stab. Not necessary by any means to have a dual except wheeling in the snow up a grade IMO. Think it was 130 bucks and it relocates above so it will be safe and take away a potential low point on clearance. Or keep the stocker, looks like no real damage. Or as mentioned go for looks and do fox or OME
