Hey I am just trying to put 2 and 2 together, but you are from new jersey and looking at a thread about extending breathers. You don't go wheeling at the Pine Barrons do you? With those crazy Russian guys like Seryoga?

I do go wheeling in the Pine Barrens and I have wheeled with many people. I don't remember a Seryoga... but that doesn't mean I didn't wheel with him.

Pine Barrens? You mean here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCCFO458vWw

Yes, my breathers were extended all way up into the engine bay. Now I gotta do that on the JK. you'd think they'd bring them all up higher - such cheap insurance.

Oh, and I believe the above Russian in Pine Barrens comment was a Sopranos reference. That was a FUNNY esisode!!!

I'm doing Pine Barrens in the Rubi with the Jeep Jamboree in May. See you there!!!

Why do you have so much line wound up? To make it harder for water to get all the way down?

hey, sorry to semi hi jack, but it is my thread anyways...

I noticed in your sig that you used to wheel a liberty renegade. How was that? I know a lot of people wheel them and I saw one with a diesel and a snorkel on 32 mt's the other day out at the o/r park, but didn't get to see it in action.

And I was wondering why he kept so much line also? I guess it doesn't hurt anything though.

I wheeled the HELL out of my KJ. It was one of the most set up Liberty's in the East Coast. And it was a good vehicle. But it was just too low up front. I would bend and break skids like they were grahm crackers. Bump & grind, all day long! The key to wheeling a KJ is picking the right line and having a good spotter. I would get high centered a lot too, another function of only 3" of lift and being sorta long. I'm concerned about the JK getting high centered because it's got a longer wheelbase than the KJ, but of course, I can easily get more lift out of it.

Also, the KJ has a much better turning radius. 35 v. 40+ feet as I recall. That makes tight trails tough!

Check out my Youtube web site for many wheeling vids, and my web page for pics.
