pinch seam
It comes to exactly the edge of the pinch seam> could I have put them on the wrong side, I thought I looked and they were the same end lenghts ?. Ive got 33 on now and the is only about a 1 1/2 to 2 in clearance?

Your pinch seam should already be trimmed/angled from the factory. You can fit 35's with the factory length of the rubi rails, but depending on the type of wheeling you do you, may want to trim it. I have yet to rub mine, but I haven't hit any serious trails yet. Here's a write-up on trimming the rails: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...rimming-32065/
This is how my 35s look against my stock rails and factory trimmed pinch seam:

I'm confused. It seems the question is asking about the pinch seam but the reply is talking about the bumper. Maybe I have been away from Jeep lingo on these newer models but it seems like we are all on two different pages.
Yes, you just cut the pinch seam with a sawzall and a metal cutting blade. It's really easy to do. All you really need to cut is the rear bottom corner. Either eyeball it or use a piece of tape to guide your line. Use silicone or something similar to seal the gap where you cut.
Rubi rails are the same. If you have them they will need to be cut as well. Take out the plastic plug, cut, and replace the plastic plug.
