Pine sap removal

So I parked under a pine tree and have sap all over the soft top. I tried a car wash with no success. Any secrets to removing pine sap from the soft tops?

Wd40, I hit a patch of fresh asphalt and black tar dots were everywhere. Would tear apart paper towels when I tried to clean it. Add some wd to some shop towels and came of 50x faster. GL!
