Default Pissing Out Oil. Please help me

I have a ‘13 JKU with just over 140,000 miles. Just returning from a weekend trip and suddenly smelled burning oil, and could see smoke in the rear view mirror, luckily I was within a couple miles of home. I got home and looked under the Jeep. It is absolutely pissing out oil, leaking like I’ve never seen something leak. Appears to be coming from high up at the rear of the engine. A little hard to tell where from, but the entire underside of the Jeep is covered, as well as the tailgate, spare tire and rear window.
Are there any “common” leaks that would piss out so much oil so quickly?
What kind of costs am I likely looking at?
Thank You in advance for any knowledge you can pass along

I'm guessing your oil filter housing adapter. Heard it's a common problem with the early 3.6L wranglers.

Yes, probably the oil former housing is cracked. It was very common in the 2014's, maybe not as common in other years. I think cost to replace is in the $600-$800 range. I've had mine done already on my 2014.

It's bout 3-4 hrs work in the garage, not too terrible. The part is just under $200, though I have seen the actual Mopar part cheaper before. It's hit and miss.

I'd put my money on this as well. Mine went a little slower but the entire trans was covered with oil and my skids were coated in it. It's not the worst thing, repair wise.

This was the pool I found while replacing mine

May as well replace spark plugs while you're in there too if you're anywhere close to that time. Removing the intake to access that driver's side for that simple service is aggravating.

Plug Replace... unless you have proof of plugs changed .. the service period on Plugs is 100K. BTW.. Use Mopar/Champion plugs.. these work BEST ! Also, if you remove the top engine cover, you can with a flashlight look down into the valley by the Oil Filter Adapter housing - you could see a pool of Oil - the sure sign its the adapter/cooler.

Thank you all for pointing me in the right direction. It was the oil cooler. Did spark plugs too while it was apart.

Thanks for following up. Many times people on here post their problems, but not the solutions.
