I noticed that the exhaust crossover makes an automatic transmission fluid change nearly impossible. With it being so close to the pan I'm sure doesn't help either....so I figure would it be possible to just delete it or move it?

If you don't get the answer you are looking for, here is an alternative that makes removing the pan a lot easier.

The wrench and bolts pictured below make the hard-to-get-to bolts very easy to get to.
As you can see, they remove the requirement to have a straight on shot. I have installed these on some of the JKs I have done fluid changes on.

Another thing I have installed on people's JKs is a drain plug in the pan to make the next fluid/filter change much easier.

Thanks RONJENX...perfect solution to the problem! Much cheaper than re-routing exhaust system. Would you by chance have the bolt replacement dimensions you used &/or ordering info?

I don't recall the size. I took an original bolt to the hardware store and picked 3 or 4 allen head screws of the same size, plus a thread to allow a washer under the head.

Ron... those are some cool ideas - I always pay attention when I see your posts. One thing... I'm assuming the drain plug doesn't help with changing the filter, right?

No help with the filter other than enabling you to drop the pan EMPTY rather than having tranny fluid running all over your arms.
