Default Possible issue after fluid change?

So about a month ago I had the dealer do their "Transmission Service". Which I didn't like cause they flush it and don't change the filter!! He said it's just a "screen" inside no filter. Anyways. Everything's fine. Except for when it's cold cold morning. I'll start her up. Sit for about 30 seconds then go. When I get down to the first red light. Probably .4 of a mile. Light turns green. I push the gas to go. Jeep has a hard time going. It feels as if you put the trans in 5th gear and try to go. A lot of resistance. I just push the gas more. After that it's fine. Just never noticed it before the fluid change when it's cold out. I just chalked it up to fresh thick fluid. When I first bought the Jeep in Dec 15 it had 22,000. Now I have 63,000. It's a 13 JKU Auto

Every transmission I ever opened up had a filter in it and transmission fluid is not thick by any means . I would have insisted on having the filter changed or at least having them prove to me it just had a screen . But if there going to cover the cost of a new transmission if yours craps out ......

Sounds low on transmission fluid. When they "flush" it they just unhook from the cooler and push fluid through. If the cooler drained it could leave a shortage.

I agree on low fluid. Not to cause a scare but the trans on my 09 Rubicon (42RLE) just crapped out. The filter is exactly where it should be, in the pan. Of course mine is covered in a thick sludge,,.

On a flush, they probably will not change the filter. There is a flush and a service. The service changes the filter and the flush recirculates the fluid and cleans it. Some flushes exchange the fluid until it comes out the "right" color. The pros and cons are:
FLUSH- Pushing new fluid in with old filter.
SERVICE-Putting new filter in and topping off fluid, thus mixing old and new fluid.

If the clutches were worn with the old fluid, the new "thinner" fluid can cause the worn clutches to allow more slippage. Hopefully, the fluid level was low and you are much luckier than I am.
