Default Problem with my manual shifter -HELP PLEASE!

Today while driving it felt like my stick was sinking so I stopped and popped off the outer plastic ring holding the shift bezel together off and see that my inner liner is torn and the entire assembly is twisting and moving the location of the stick in a kind of circular motion. It checked and it is not just the stick itself as it tight it is the entire assembly. I dont know if this is something I can fix myself or if its gonna need to be towed? I can find all the gears just the entire shifter assembly inside the inner liner is spinning. Any ideas or if you need anymore information please let me know. Thanks, Justin.
