Default Problems

Problem #1 - first day I picked up my Jeep the service engine light came on. I called the dealer and they said check the gas cap. Did that no change. Light went off the next day. Every so often it comes on again and I do the code check by turning the key and it show -------, no errors.

Problem #2 - the service engine light and ESP light will come on while driving then when I turn off the engine off only the service light will be on when I restart. So I took it to the dealer yesterday and they said it is a bad cam sensor and have ordered one.

Problem #3 - I have the my gig and sometime the sound can't be heard and the audio button is grayed out and can't be accessed. I also had the radio popping which the dealer did the TSB for yesterday. However they say they will be ordering me a new MyGig for the audio problem

Problem #4 - When I drive and the engine is under a load (not idling) I can hear what sounds like a vacum or exhaust leak. Dealer said that the Electronic Throttle Control was not properly calibrated. On the drive home that dang noise was louder that when I dropped it off to be fixed. I took it back this morning and the service guy said this is normal and from the air intake. I don't buy it but, please let me know if anyone else has this type of noise from a stock intake. (I know it is difficult to say without hearing it)

On the positive side, I took it out on the trail and my wife and kids had more fun than they thought they would.

I picked it up from the dealer and they installed the new MyGig radio.

Regarding "problem 4" they ordered a new throttle body, which should be here next week. The tech said if that does not fix it they will drive one of the new ones on the lot to see if the noise is present there.

Well the service dept. called chrysler and they recommened a new throttle body to fix my problem #4. They installed it today, and the noise was still there, service advisor had me drive a new jeep on the lot and the noise was not there. He said the next step is to have me meet with the Service Manager.
