Pros N' Cons of 2Dr Vs 4 Dr
The 4-door rides better on the road due to the longer wheelbase. You aren't risking a faceplant getting in and out of the rear seats. There's a ton more room behind the rear seats. The long wheelbase is better in some off road situations.
The 2-door performs better in most situations off road. You won't get told that it looks like a hummer. It's a little faster off the line (less weight). It costs less.

Yeah, I'm going to have to take the hard top off just to stop the Hummer comments. I received 2 today. "ooohhh, it looks just like a mini-hummer! What is it?" Me in my best Arnold Schwartzenegger voice - "It's not a humma!"
chick then asks me what kind of mileage I get. I tell her 15city, 19highway and she says "Well I get better mileage than that in my car!" and points at her 6-cylinder mustang.
I didn't quite know where to start, so I smiled, nodded, and took off.

The four door has more room, easier rear access, more behind the rear seat storage, and probably has a better on road ride due to it's longer wheelbase. The two door is a pain to get in and out of the rear(but I never have a problem with getting people to jump in and go), costs less, is prolly better off road, lighter(fuel mileage), smaller turning radius, more traditional, and you never have to worry about someone saying it looks just like a Hummer.
I'm glad we have a choice but for me it was 2dr all the way

At 1st I was bummed about getting a 2 dr with kidos. Yes, there's more room, the back has enough area for camping gear and it's whole different look. It's a Jeep with a new level of uniquness. The downfall I notice now is the soft top. It sags too much in the back and throught time, it will get worse. Also if you take it down, there's not that much open around you. Still, the soft top should have a better design. But the cure is simple and makes it look awesom... A hardtop and Half doors really gives that Jeep and offroad look. Where I feel confident is the 2 doors still make me feel young. I have a dual top for the summer and sometimes harsh winters. It's truelly a pain to get people in and out. You might as well plan five minutes just to get in gear and go. As of taking the top down, it's still that old TJ feeling I once had. Where I feel confident now with a 2 dr is that I have already hit about 10 trails this summer up hear in the beautiful rockies. I think that's where a 2 door leads. If you're really into off roading, that's where you might feel more confortable in. If I lived in the city or subburbs by the Jones's, then a 4 door with car seats might look cool. Yet I have seen some nice decked out 4 drs. No matter what, It's a Jeep Wrangler in either way and don't be a fool to buy a Rubicon over invoice becuase of some demand crap. There's some all over the country. I just had a friend in Texas pay alomst 2200$ over invoice pretty much at sticker. There's Rubi's all over here and more through out the west. Use logic... Come to Colorado via southwest airlines (50$), stay overnight in a nice small town like in Granby (100$), then pop your Jeep's cherry somewhere on Rollins pass east or west for starters, then go home on a small trip. That 's all around 500$.
