Pulling my TJ
If I put a fold down hitch on the front of my TJ all manuel tran ofcourse giving no tongue weight. How do you think the Jk will pull it any ideas. The TJ is already wired. It had one when I got it I had the U brackets cut off and a smooth piece welded on.......How was I to know I would ever want to use them........
I'm sure the JK will pull it. I'd be worried about whether it will be able to stop it...
I'm pretty sure it would not be "legal" since you will be exceeding the towing capacity of the JK. It wouldn't be very safe since the two vehicle are almost the same weight. The TJ will be putting some serious force on the back of the JK when turning and such.
My thoughts... not a good idea.

You may be right but in my JK box I got at the dealer ship is a picture of a jk pulling a tandem axle trailer with a cj or tj sitting on it. I thought that was interesting with a 3500 lb tow rating.

That's an older CJ on the trailer and they were very light compared to a TJ or the JK. Only like 2,500 lbs.
So that setup is probably right at the 3,500 lbs tow rating. And that trailer being rated to haul 2,500 lbs would have to have trailer brakes.
Also towing a trailer is very different than towing a vehicle 4 down. A trailer will happily follow the tow vehicle but when towing 4 down the towed vehicle will "fight" against the tow vehicle when turning.

I'm gonna try and flat tow my yj when my jk arrives. I have pulled it a few times with my liberty at 60mph and would forget it was back there. I think Curb weight on a tj is around 3200 lbs .You just need to give yourself plenty on breaking time. Try it around the block and let us know how it does.
