Default Putting it back together

I recently changed my head gaskets in my 09 Sahara. I have the heads in, torqued them down. I reinstalled the rocker arms rail. I was told that I may need to adjust them before I complete or start the vehicle. Before I put on the valve cover gaskets and exhaust manifold is this needed or necessary?

please give me your input

I've very familiar with tearing the 3.6L apart, but not the 3.8L. If you can't find a video of that on YT for the 3.8L from a service mechanic type person, then I would suggest that maybe spending $20 on a month from Alldata.com so you can reference the service manual might be peace of mind for a small bit of money. That is certainly not something you want to get put back together just realize you needed to, and you never know who's responded online here. I will say that for the 3.6L, I've found videos that had the exact same information as the service manual. I just rebuilt the timing on my 3.6L and paid for the alldata sub for a month. It was worth it for me. It would stink to now pay for the subscription giving you are 80% of the way done, but again, peace of mind.
