Default Question about driver's side A-Pillar...

Just curious what holds the a-pillar in place? The piece that some folks replace with a gauge cluster on the driver's side.
I test drove a 13' today and noticed the driver's side pillar was bulged out in the middle. Is this a common issue? Just curious if it's an easy fix...if it just snaps into place or has push pins.
I might be interested in purchasing this rubi, so before I pull the trigger I just want to make sure it isn't something bigger!

I had problems taking mine off. Its held on by the vanity mirror screws as well as a plastic Phillips screw clip. The clip wouldn't unscrew on mine. Some mods are easy sometimes the easy ones are hard.
