Default question about the stainless door sill

i was thinking about getting the stainless door sills with the Jeep logo. Has anyone painted these or maybe line-x'd them? I don't really like the stainless look with my jeep, but i still want the metal ones (vs. the plastic).

Thoughts?

I have the black plastic ones....lovem, no problems.

The wife has the metal stainless/chromed ones. The first week somebody caught the corner of one on thier pants and bent it just a bit......now evrything gets caught on it and you cut your leg on them too......stick with the plastic black ones, they bounce back.

My 2 cents

I haven't painted mine, but I don't see any issues with painting them. You'd probably loose the logo under the paint though.

i'm thinking if you line-x them or paint them, and make sure they are flush they shouldn't have any problem. I don't think my leg ever touches anywhere near there???

Looked at these through the link and these are black sill guards. It doesn't mention stainless anywhere in the description but it does say "stock photo". I have the black plastic ones and they have been trouble free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Of course, I have a black JK so the black guards go nicely.

I got the plastic ones on mine and I like um. The stainless ones are high as hell. they would be nice, but damn. Then I would LineX um and there goes more money. I like my plastic ones even better now. They look good against all that yeller.

Go with the plastic Mopar. They cover the sill better than the metal ones, look good, work well and best of all cost less.
