I am about 1/3 of the way through the thead "Let's solve the stock springs question" and have a couple quick questions.
Will springs from a '12 model fit previous years?
What is the part number of spring that apparently has the highest spring rate so far as figured by this other thread? Fronts and rears, please.
I have an 07 with apparently the LOWEST spring rates. My 2 door JK has a 2.5" BB on an I am wanting to experiment with the higher spring rate stock springs and all the heavy aftermarket stuff I have mounted an keeping the jeep sitting where it was to begin with (pre winch and heavy bumpers.
The heavy stock spring rate springs sound like they might give me what I am after.
I have a couple jeep dealers in town and I can easily run down the springs I need as long as I have the right part numbers for the springs. Be a fun weekend experiment.
Thanks!

Some seem to have installed the same front springs (for example 19/19 instead of the factory 17/18 set up). Any problem with doing this or would it be better to take the factory's lead in the consecutive numbered front springs?
Seems as if aftermarket lifts don't do this. Am I correct?

Jeep like to put a higher number spring on the gas tank side for the added weight. You don't need that. Same numbers will do if you go 18 and above. 17 and below might make a difference as those are normally the ones that don't have the same number on both sides.
