Default questions about torque converter shudder

I am taking my 07 in (again) in a week. I am a bit worried that if the weather is a bit warmer here in New England, the shudder will not be a noticeable as it was during the really cold mornings. Which brings me to a few questions:

1) Can anyone explain why the shudder is more prominent in cold weather/cold starts?

2) I am tired of dealing with a problem (annoyance) for a brand new vehicle. I want any issues resolved while the vehicle is still under warranty. If the problem is not fixed, will the torque converter issue lead to more problems with the transmission?

3) Is it possible that my transmission could already be messed up since the bozos at the dealership have not done squat to fix the problem, and I have been driving it that way for probably 5000 miles?

Can't provide much that is useful except to say that,

1) Mine is also worse when the weather is colder,
2) I've been told by an auto trans tech that continued TC problems will lead to trans problems,
3) I just had my TC replaced after 16,000 miles and it was better, but now 500 miles post repair, the symptoms are returning.

Good luck at the dealer.

Sorry to hear your issue is back Skibum, I'm kind of out of ideas mine has 10K plus since the change out and is in good shape. Dumb question but is the fluid level still were it needs to be?
