The Freedom Top is the hard top, correct? Well, the soft top does the same damn thing!

Teach it to shake like a dog before you get in?

My soft top does this to, i kind of give the Jeep a shake before i get in after rain or haevy dew. Stupid but it works.

Default Yup...get used to it...

I thought I was the only one with the problem (4 door-soft top), since I never saw any threads on it...then my hunting partner got a Sahara Unlimited with a Freedom Top, and his is worse...it's just that the roof is much narrower than the base at the doors, and that water in the gutter has to run somewhere...HC has a good idea about shaking it...and I also found that the water will form a puddle above the rear doors, and if you slam the doors hard, it will pour down and dump into your rear windows, if they are open...HC's idea also helps for this.

Ditto. I thought I was the only one having this problem. Does anybody know if there is a fix or water deflectors or is HC's way the only solution?

i think this will be inherent in the design.

if water is running off the rain gutters, its gonna get inside when you open the door.

im thinking of trying to make a small deflector and glue it up there maybe out of transparency plastic used on overhead projectors or maybe beer can aluminum....oh wait i don't have any ...hmmmm need to empty a beer can ...kinda like patching a roof leak ...you only need to do it when it rains but you don't wanna work on it IN tha rain

I have no idea about a fix for the hardtops as i dont have one, but...
I know the top-props used to work pretty well on the older models to keep the water from pooling on the soft top. It is just a fancy plastic bow that keeps a curve in the top to keep it from puddling and dumping on you when you first open the door.

I seriously considered it, but my top goes up and down frequently, and i thought it would look hokey with the top down, and i have no way to store it if i remove it unless i left it at home, which would pretty much defeat the purpose. So i just give the thing a hefty shake before i get in.
