i've noticed that my jku emits random humming noises when parked. similar in sound and duration to a CD loading (but there is no CD in the player) or maybe sounds like some sort of electric pump. it sounds like its coming from the dash area but i can't make out the exact location. sometimes, but not always, it will do it right when i open my door. but my doors have roll up windows and make zero electrical contact with the vehicle as far as i am aware. so i'm not sure if the timing is coincidence. other times if i am just sitting in the jeep (like tonight when i was looking for a good place to hide my garage door opener) i would randomly hear humming. anyone know what this is?

Could just be a dash part vibrating. Or, possibly the sound of the injectors.

You guys sure it isn't the abs/ esp module under the hood making the noise? Mine makes hella noise when the key is off, like it's a pump trying to maintain pressure.

There is a cooling fan in the radio that will kick on when it gets hot.

Mine does the same after pulling my iPod off the USB cord. Sounds like a hum through the speakers, could that be it?

i think this might be it. sounds exactly like a pump trying to pressurize. but why would the module (or anything on my jeep for that matter) be "on" when the jeep is off?
