Rattle or Thud in my front doors
Whenever I hit a small bump, I get a small thud in my front doors, depending on the side that hit the bump. I know it is in the door, because when I have the doors off or hold the door open when I hit a bump, it doesn't do it.
Anyone else have this experience? It is a minor annoyance, but I'd like it not to happen.

There are many threads about a similar issue, usually the adjustment of the door striker plate(s) solves it. It did in my case.
Try a search and I think you'll find more detail.
Good luck! One noise down, 25 to go!

Why waste time going to a dealer? You just need a Torx and 5 minutes to fix it.
First put masking tape along the top edge and side edge of the striker plate (this is for reference so you know how much you've moved the plate and to keep it straight)
Now loosen the 2 screws holding it and shift it 1mm-2mm inwards. Test drive. If that didn't cure it, move it back to the original position, then move it 1mm-2mm upwards. Test drive. If that doesn't cure it, you need a combination of inward and upward.
I think most people that have done this ended up curing it with just the inward adjustment. Mine needed to be moved upwards. And a few have reported needing both adjustments. Regardless, you can fix it yourself quicker than you can drive to a dealership

Thanks, N2rock! I'll give this a shot this weekend. I'll let you guys know how it works.

Mine was only on the drivers side, but i have read where some have had it on both or only on the pass side. I read about one member who developed the clunk after putting his doors back on even though he had never heard it when they were originally on.
