Default Rear axle squeak

Has anybody ever experienced a seal that squeaks on the rear axle? I thought it was my rear brake squeaking so I took a look at it and even replaced my brake pads as they were getting time to do it. but when I checked further to see what was squeaking, I narrowed it down to the rear outer seal. Nothing is leaking but just seems odd. When the radio is down and I am next to something you can hear it faintly. So I always make sure the radio is up far enough, can't hear don't have a problem, right? I have never heard of this before have any of you?

Hmm. I didn't think of that. I had a leaking seal on the other side a couple years ago and replaced that seal and bearing. This bearing does have 148,000 miles on it. Might not be a bad idea to replace now then later.

You sure it's not a bent axle shaft? I had a squeak back there and it ended up being a bent flange. Couldn't tell until I jacked both rear tires up, popped the tire off on the side that was squeaking, and threw it in gear to see it as it was rotating.

I don't think so. I thought that at first and did that but did not see any movement. May be worth rechecking though.
