Default Rear Cargo Area in Khaki color?

I posted elsewhere, but haven't got any reply, so I'm starting a new thread.

All the JK unlimiteds I've seen have had the slate Grey interior which appears to have black carpeting in the back from the back of the rear seat rearward. I haven't seen a Khaki interior yet at any dealership(???), except for pictures at web sites and in this forum and I need a little clarification on the color.

From the pictures in the Gallery, it appears as though both the slate grey and the khaki interiors both have black carpeting behind the rear seat lining the cargo area. They both also appear to have black padding on the roll bars. Is this correct? Or does the Khaki interior have a different color carpeting behind the rear seat or roll pad covering?

I need to know the answer before I can give my dealer the final word on what color I want the interior of my hardtop painted once my Rubi arrives.

Thanks so much,

Tom

I am intersted in the same thing. I really hope the roll bar covers are dark khaki. They should match the top in my opinion. Hope someone figures this out.

I have a 4-door Rubicon, Light Greystone with the Khaki interior. The carpet is black throughout and the roll bar covers are black as well. Personally, I prefer the Khaki interior over the slate grey.

I'm kinda confused here too. Are the 2 tops black if you choose a khaki interior? All I've seen so far are pictures of black hard/soft tops.

The tops only come in black unless you ordered the Sahara, in which case I believe you would of had to choose the top color.

I believe this is correct. There ARE two different color hard tops, black and khaki. The black comes on the "X" trim and the Rubicon, but you can order a khaki top with SOME of the body colors if you order a Sahara trim JK. I cannot stand the inside of the hard top being white, and am going to have my dealer paint it black as soon as it arrives, so I won't ever see it white.

My wife has me rethinking my decision to paint the outside of the hard top Rescue Green, she thinks it would look better if the outside of the hard top were left black. I can do it in photoshop, but it'd take several hours.

What does everyone think?

My JK just came in black top, has khaki interior and cargo area is black. Hope this helps you. The seats are not as bright as they look in the pics. My roll bars are black also.
Though the pictures were small, it does help, thanks a lot! I have decided to paint the interior of the hard top black, and yes, tons of pics once I get my JK.

Tom,
I would keep it black. It would look like that silver AEV jeep at sema
There were 3 Jeeps in the SEMA pictures that had the tops painted to match the body. Two were silver, one was the AEV jeep with the tent thingie on the roof, the other was SkunkWerks silver Jeep. I personally, liked the AEV jeep, they only painted the top, but the Skunkwerks jeep was just over the top with painted door handles, painted windshield screwheads, painted mirrors, painted bumpers, painted fender flares, just too much silver. It looked as if it had been dunked in a tub of silver paint. There was also a Red Rock JK from Avenger superchargers that had the top painted too. I kinda liked that one as well. I think in Rescue Green, having the top painted is going to look a LITTLE better than the factory matte black, but definitely different. My wife, God bless her, thinks with a painted hard-top, it looks a little like an old Toyota Landcruiser. I was so impressed she knew what a Landcruiser was, that I almost cried. I've been working with her for so long, it's finally starting to pay out as her knowledge slowly grows.
