Solder is the way to go.
I've soldered 'em without any new solder.
Just hold the tab on the spot with your gun on it, it doesn't take much.
Doesn't take much for the ol' lady, or the Dobermann to break 'em back off either
Ah well, what you gonna go

My warranty was still in tact when I took it to the dealer to have them solder the connector. They did but claimed I would have to replace the glass since it still didn't work. Claims this is not covered by the warranty and I should call an auto glass place.
What luck did you have getting the glass replaced? Was it the dealer or not who did the work?
Been driving for 2 years now without the defroster and I want it back.

Well it looks like others have had some success with just soldering the pads back on. The two-part epoxy stuff I used two years ago is still holding and working great - haven't had to touch them after doing what I showed above.

Eight years now and the Frost Fighter kit still works great.
